What ESU Covers
- Best is still refresh your PC with Windows 11 pro
- Critical and important security updates only — no new features, UI improvements, or performance fixes
- Allows continued patching of Windows 10 devices beyond
- Valid for one year per license, renewable annually for up to three years (to Oct 2028)
- Delivered via Windows Update or WSUS once ESU MAK key is activated
What ESU Doesn’t Cover
- No new feature updates or enhancements
- No performance or hardware optimization (battery, boot time, Wi-Fi, camera, etc.)
- No improvements to device reliability or lifecycle cost (TCO remains high)
- No protection from hardware-level vulnerabilities (lacking TPM 2.0, Secure Boot, Pluton, etc.)
- No support for Microsoft 365 / Office Apps after October 2026 — Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams may stop receiving updates or become unsupported
- No access to modern AI and collaboration features in Windows 11 Pro or Copilot+ PCs
How to buy Windows 10 ESU
1. Purchase Buy Windows 10 ESU Year 1 via CSP Perpetual ESU Licensing (NCE Per 1TM). Search “Windows 10 ESU Year” in Ingram Xvantage.
2. Obtain Key Retrieve ESU MAK Key from the Microsoft 365 Admin Center (MAC).
3. Install Manually install or script activation via VAMT.
4. Update Once activated, WSUS or Windows Update delivers ESU patches automatically.
5. Renew Annually Year 2 and Year 3 require separate purchases + unique MAK keys.
